The Bridge Street congregation is blessed to have two excellent evangelists. Both Paolo and Charles are very proficient at presenting the Good News of the Gospel of Christ in its fullness and simplicity.
Paolo Di Luca
Paolo was born in Milan, Italy, and was
raised in Ferrara, Italy. He is married to the former Cindy Inman,
daughter of the late Clifton Inman, a well-known preacher of the Gospel for 50
years in the Ohio Valley. Paolo and Cindy have one son, Marco, a student
at Freed Hardeman University.
Paolo's biblical education and training have come from various courses of study in Italy and the United States, and from working with his father and other missionaries in Italy. He preached for various congregations in Italy from 1983 to 2006, at which time he and Cindy decided to move to the United States. Paolo began working with the Bridge Street congregation on June 4, 2007.
In addition to pulpit preaching and personal evangelism, Paolo has also prepared and recorded radio programs, participated in public debates, directed Bible camps for children and teenagers, worked (in Italy) with campaign groups from the United States, and participated in numerous other evangelical activities. He also has been co-editor for various monthly papers, published both on paper and on the Internet, and has maintained two web sites.

Charles Pugh III
Charles Pugh III has been working as an evangelist with the Bridge Street
congregation since 1987. He was born in Marietta, OH, was raised in
Parkersburg, WV, and graduated from Parkersburg High School. He received
his higher education from Ohio Valley College, Harding University, and Harding
Graduate School of Religion with graduate study in the Philosophy of Religion
and Christian Apologetics under the late Dr. Thomas B. Warren. Mr. Pugh
has served as the local evangelist for churches of Christ in Mississippi, Ohio,
Tennessee, and West Virginia. He has also served as the speaker for
several radio and television programs. His speaking engagements have
included invitations to address churches and lectureships in fifteen states.
Pugh is a regular writer for various religious journals and publications and has
contributed chapters to numerous lectureship books. He has authored
several Bible study books and has written articles which have been published in
a number of newspapers. His bulletin articles, which appear regularly in
the weekly Bridge Street bulletin, are also reprinted by several other churches.
For several years Mr. Pugh was an adjunct faculty member at Ohio Valley College
and presently is an instructor at the West Virginia School of Preaching
(Moundsville, WV) where he teaches apologetics and homiletics.
Due to a disease which affects his speaking voice, in 2000 Charles resigned from his regular pulpit work at Bridge Street. However, he continues a full load of writing, visiting, and teaching at Bridge Street, along with his teaching duties at WVSOP, writing ministry, gospel meetings and "fill-in" preaching for other congregations as his voice permits.
Charles and his wife, Sharon, are the parents of three children. A daughter, Mrs. Mendy Brewster of Haughton, LA, whose husband, Ben, is a minister with the church of Christ, a son, Charles IV (Chip), who lives with his wife, Nicole, in Tennessee, and a daughter, Nicole, who attends Harding University. The Pugh's also have two grandchildren, Hannah and Drew Brewster.
